Ride Free (3 days after the World Trade Center Incident)
After viewing from the safety and comfort of our home, the events of the week, I just had to say, you have to keep up your good work of
reminding us of one of our most precious rights, that of the freedom to come and go throughout these our United States of America.
Due to one conflict (and trust me I'm using that term in the lightest sense possible) or another (raising kids, paying bills), we have had to put
some of our trips on hold this year, but after what happened on Tuesday, I'm not so quick to complain about what does not work out for us,
plus I know that if you are headed off for an adventure, I will get to enjoy it right along with you.
I hope you were, as we were, able to escape Tuesday events with no immediate family members involved. But that sentence itself is so
redundant, as I don't think I've ever felt so close to people I never met before in my entire life.
My husband, being a Navy veteran having served in Vietnam, has been so torn up by this week's events, insisted that I on his behalf email
the Dept of the Navy, offering up his services in what ever way he could help out, he is in Building Construction now and I believe suffers
right along with every one of the steel workers out there moving the debris. I've always been proud of him, but on that evening more than
ever.
So thanks for giving me a space to vent, a space to connect to someone I've never met, but hope upon hope, you will always be able to do
what you do best, ride and let the rest of us enjoy the experience.
Hope your back is doing better after the last incident, my Husband winced when I read that one out loud to him, he's never had to pick ours
up, but he was right along side of you at least in spirit.
Take Care of You and Yours and God Bless the USA
Jean
