DEAR MUTHUH

Gotcha... (Pt. II)

I gotta admit, I questioned if anybody could be so niave after reading the emails I was getting from this guy, but I'll play along. It turned out to be pretty funny anyway. Even some of the emails I got from you guys suggested this guy was playing around with me, or at least you hoped nobody this stupid was able to ride a motorcycle.

The next day, amidst the junk mail, up pops an email with "Heather wants to know about this initiation thing" in the Subject line. Yeah, I'll bet she does!   According to the story, Heather is getting these repeated photo sessions in secret every night and is keeping it hidden from this guy. That's not all Heather is getting, Dood!   But for me the the liklihood that this is all a gag takes away the surprise and just makes it an exercise in humor...

Dear Muthuh,

When you asked for more pictures, I wondered if I had done a stupid thing. But I trust that you have kept them confidential and will send a few more now that we can go on the ride - THANKS.

I asked her about the pictures I found in her drawer, and she looked really upset and flustered, I suppose because I spoiled her surprise. She eventually said she was going to give me a pinup calendar for my birthday, one pose for every month, and may have a couple more poses still to do before the calendar is completed. I feel really bad that I spoiled it for her, but promised I wouldn't object if she went back over to do some more photographs. I just hope there aren't too many more like the last few poses I saw, and she gets home so late at night, too.

So, I told her about the ride we were going to go on with you in WV and joked about this initiation you have planned for first-time riders. That WAS a joke wasn't it? Heather seems to think maybe you're being serious and wanted to know what was involved. It looks like she is really eager to go on this trip! She said she wanted to see pictures of the other riders going with you. I think it is because she wants to be able to recognize them when we first meet y'all.

Anyway - if there really is an initiation, and thats OK, I suppose we have to expect that, can you tell us what we have to do?

Sincerely,

Niles

Hehehe... OK... now I'm at the point where either this guy is truly yanking my chain or the WV ride may never get beyond the Motel 6 parking lot. Time to flush him out and see whats really going on.

Niles -

The initiation is pretty simple, really - and you can ask around - it's a pretty common one amongst us "fellow bikers" as you aptly put it. I did, by the way, charge your credit card for half the cost of the motel rooms along the way. Half because I thought we'd economize and split the cost of one room. Most have two Queen beds, but the first night we may have to split a King Size...hope that's OK.

Anyway, here it is.... First-timer tradition says the new guy has to be the one who watches over the bikes in the motel parking lot during the late evening - only til about midnight or so. We've all done it on our first rides out with the guys. It's only for a couple of hours though, so not a big deal. It just means you bring a blanket outside and keep an eye on all the bikes in the parking lot. Don't worry, we'll all take turns keeping your wife safe, you know, making sure the door is locked and nobody bothers her and stuff. Its just something we do for "fellow bikers".

Now, that is the initiation for you - we don't really have one for first-time back-seaters... perhaps you should ask Heather if she has any ideas? It's only fair that we allow her to choose her own initiation. By the way - the photos are great - she sure is a talented model, your calendar ought to be really nice by the time December comes around.

Oh, and by the way... maybe it would be best if you didn't bring the .22 cal pistol at all... wouldn't want you to feel uncomfortable carrying a weapon!

All right, first of all, Kim knows all about this little game I was playing - you KNOW I don't keep things from her, but this was just too much fun... later that afternoon:

Dear Muthuh,

I feel better now - I thought for a minute there you guys were gonna have some horrid initiation. Keeping an eye on the parking lot for a few hours is fine. It's the least I can do. Heather says as long as someone is there with her keeping watch, and the door is locked, she'd be fine with it. She's a good sport, huh? As for her initiation, she thought maybe each of you got one shot at Truth or Dare on those evenings I had to guard the bikes. She's always been one for fun and games. I know that's a pretty lame initiation, but she said you might really enjoy it.

Oh, and one more thing, Muthuh... you sorry, sick bastard... if I really was "Niles" and was as dumb as I was making it look, I'd bet you really would lock me out in the parking lot while you and Heather played Truth or Dare all night. Funny thing is, Heather and I DO wanna join you on the WV trip and splitting the room will be just fine... Heather said she gets the middle in the King Bed. Real Credit Card number follows..... Can I watch?

GOTCHA!

Lance

Ahh HAH! I feel a lot better now, knowing there isn't somebody out there with the good taste to buy a Harley, yet as stupid as "Niles". It is guys like that that makes me sick of going to rally's. If ya don't know who Lance is, you gotta read some stuff I have in the Archives called Vision Quest III. Lance goes on to explain what happened after the pool game where he and Bev rides off leaving her husband back at the bar with his beer in his hand (at least I hope it was only his beer he had in hand...I wasn't gonna stick around to watch). I'll catch you up on that in the next chapters of "Blood Bound" as that story continues.

Looks like me and Lance was gonna continue the adventure in the hills of WV.
